We were looking for somewhere quiet to relax and we found it at Baan Ing Kao. We visited for an afternoon, we returned to our resort, checked out and checked in at Baan Ing Kao. It was one of the best decisions that we made. We found a family atmosphere where we were not made to feel like a tourist, but a welcome guest. If you want a little bit of paradise in good company, then try it.

This family run place offers a relaxed and authentic getaway from the more hectic resort run places. The simple bungalows a situated on the lush hillsides on the cove – most of them with a view of the sea.

You can enjoy a great selection of thaifood at the small homely restaurant. The bar right on the beautiful beach adds to the tranquil feel to the place, with its cozy style and friendly staff.

A great place to meet the other few travelers that has found their way to this well hidden treasure on this beautiful island.

In December 2008 I stayed for three weeks in one of the bungalows on the hill, and I absolutely loved it! I had looked for a quiet nice place to write and found it there.
The family is so welcoming and warm and I felt looked after in a very nice way.

I remember the food to be delicious, so I didn’t eat at other places very often.

Hopefully, one day I will go back, I would love to see the family again!

Well, i must admit, my heart is buried somewhere in the beaches of the Baan ing khao, i was never the “Island guy” rather in the mountains but this place ( and especially the nice Family and superextraordinary good Thai cuisine(10/10 trust me) totally changed my mind, its very peaceful and relaxing, and all the more experienced travelers told me this place is like Thailand 20 years ago.
best wishes, maybe we meet someday in the Baan ing khao <3
